Starting her career with a short stint as a tech consultant and then pivoting to copywriting, Ankita quickly discovered that her curiosity for words was matched by an eye for design and strategy. After completing her post-graduation at MIT Institute of Design, Pune, she interned with the renowned Elephant Design before joining ZS Associates, where she worked on branding and communication for some of the most influential names in the healthcare and pharma sector.
While she has been taking on freelance projects since 2016, it was in 2025 that she formally launched Studio Laban. With over a decade of experience behind her, she now partners with founders and CEOs, helping them bring new ideas to life or reimagine existing ones through brand strategy, identity design, and visual storytelling. FAQs
We’re an early-stage startup. Is it too early to invest in brand development?
This is actually the best time. Whether you’re pitching to investors, attracting early customers, or building first impressions, early branding gives you clarity, consistency, and credibility which helps set you apart. Branding is all about how people understand and remember you.
What industries do you work with?
We’ve partnered with B2B tech and AI startups, healthcare and wellness providers, and D2C product brands. Our sweet spot is founder-led businesses in sectors where trust, clarity, and credibility matter most.
Do you work internationally?
Yes, we’ve worked with clients across India, APAC, Europe and North America. With tools like Google Suite, Zoom, and Asana, collaboration is seamless no matter where you’re based.
What if we already have a logo or some design work done?
That’s completely fine. We’ll begin with an audit of your existing brand to highlight what’s working and what needs refining, and then decide whether it makes sense to build upon what you already have or start fresh.
Can you only do web or presentation design?
If you already have complete brand guidelines in place, we can move straight to web or presentation design. If not, we strongly recommend doing brand design first so your website or deck reflects consistent visuals and strong messaging. Without that foundation, we’re not the right fit.
Do you also build the website or just design it?
We design and implement websites on Framer, a no-code platform that’s fast, flexible, and great for new enterprises that are still evolving. For more complex functionality beyond Framer, we can recommend trusted developers to step in.
Do you design mobile apps too?
No, we don’t design mobile or web apps. Our focus is on brand identity, presentations and website experiences. But we can definitely collaborate with your product or dev team to ensure the brand carries through into your app.
Can you help with marketing, SEO, or social media?
No, we don’t do marketing or social media management. However, it’s important to note that a well-defined brand directly impacts marketing by making ads perform better, improving click-through rates, and boosting lead quality.
How long does a project usually take?
It depends on the scope of work. Typically, • Brand Strategy & Identity: 4–6 weeks • Website (Framer): 4–8 weeks • Presentation Design: 1–2 weeks We’ll always give you a timeline before starting so you can plan ahead.
How much does it cost to work with Studio Laban?
Our pricing depends on the scope of the project. We don’t do one-size-fits-all packages, but we always provide a clear proposal upfront so there are no surprises.
What if we need ongoing support after the project?
We provide free support for up to 30 days after project completion to ensure everything runs smoothly. Once the main project is complete, we can always take on additional scope like new decks, extra brand assets, or new pages to your website, which will be billed separately.
